exceed(tm) air filters with nanofiber technology better protect valuable museum pieces and people by removing more small contaminants , while enabling high flow rates.

exceed(tm) filters are manufactured and marketed by a division of eSpin Technologies Inc., a nanotechnology firm established in 1999 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. eSpin Technologies Inc.,a leader in developing and implementing nanofiber technology, has leveraged early involvement in several prestigious federally funded projects to achieve its primary vision of mainstreaming nanofiber-based technology into daily life.

Since their introduction in 2008, exceed(tm) filters have improved air quality at museums, automotive manufacturing plants, office buildings, hospitals, and homes, because of their ability to greatly reduce small particulate counts in the 0.3 to 0.5 micrometer range, the size of bacteria, most smoke, droplet nuclei (from sneezes), airborne cooking oil, and copy toner. exceed(tm) filters are available in a range of sizes with efficiency levels of MERV 11 to MERV 14. One-inch filters for residential use are available in MERV 11 and MERV 13. Two-inch MERV 13 filters with activated carbon provide submicron particulate removal while helping control odors. Additional filter sizes with efficiencies up to MERV 15 are under development.

NANOTECHNOLOGY AND AIR FILTRATION
exceed(tm) nanofiber-based air filter media is manufactured and quality-controlled within our facility in Chattanooga, TN using proprietary processes. Nanofibers are 1000 times smaller in diameter than a human hair, providing unique benefits in air filtration. Filter materials with nanofibers contain smaller pores and have higher internal surface area than materials with traditional fibers, which allows them to capture submicron particles more effectively. In addition, the low pressure drop of exceed(tm) filters reduces energy consumption, saving power and money for customers. Studies in hospitals and homes have documented that exceed filters last longer than regular filters while resulting in cleaner rooms.
